Bikers for 45 Plans to Donate & Place Over 300 American Flags at Fort Snelling this Memorial Weekend

Bikers for 45 Minnesota will donate & place over 300 American flags at Fort Snelling National Cemetery this Memorial Weekend along with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.
Minneapolis, MN - As a part of COVID-19 related closures of all Minnesota Historical Society sites and museums through June 30th, Fort Snelling has cancelled all Memorial Weekend and Memorial Day festivities.
May 11th, Flags for Fort Snelling announced that they cancelled their annual Memorial Day flag placement event at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, "We are saddened to announce that our Minnesota Remembers Memorial Day event has been cancelled for 2020. In addition to following strict federal orders, it is our genuine concern to keep our patriotic supporters safe and healthy during this questionable times."
Bikers for 45 Minnesota has stepped up to organize a flag placement event at Fort Snelling National Cemetery to honor the American heroes laid to rest there by placing American flags at their grave sites this Memorial Weekend.
They plan to donate & place over 300 American flags at the cemetery along with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. The public event will be held Saturday May 23rd, 9am - 12pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery 7601 34th Ave. S Minneapolis, MN 55450.

Bring your family, friends, coworkers and neighbors and let's honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Military members, active & Veterans are strongly encouraged to join us!
We will meet at 9am across the street from the cemetery at the Airport Professional Building, 7550 34th Ave South so we can meet & go over our plan for the day. See you there!"
